What customers say?

“ The meals are inexpensive, reasonably portioned, and the flavors are fairly average. ”

- Shao-Chin Huang -

“ Whenever I go to Inuyama Castle, this is the one place I absolutely have to eat! I lined up 10 minutes before opening, but before I knew it, there was a long line. When I ordered, I said I wanted to eat in, and they put it in a wooden box, which I then took into the quaint restaurant! The gohei mochi was delicious, with a fragrant sauce made from walnuts and other ingredients. There is a place to return the wooden box and skewers, so I went there... There aren't many seats, but you can eat quickly, so I think the turnover is fast. Young people might be swayed by flashy things, but I definitely recommend giving it a try! ”

“ Famous Goheimochi snack shop. Flattened rice ball on the skewer flavored walnut miso sauce around, lightly grilled, crispy outside. ”

“ The shop is located in a corner of Inuyama Castle Town, a charming streetscape reminiscent of the Edo period. The building is a registered tangible cultural property of Japan. Don't forget to check out the fire watchtower to the north of the shop. Be sure to try their famous 100-yen gohei mochi, which has been featured on TV and in magazines! Freshly baked after you order, these small, easy-to-eat, fragrant gohei mochi are delicious. And of course, they're absolutely delicious. The shop is also a cozy space with a raised floor, evoking the retro feel of the Edo period, and you can even get a single stick, and tea is also available. It may be difficult to get in if the queue is long and it's crowded, but if you can time it right, be sure to pop in! Take a break and travel back in time while strolling through Inuyama Castle Town! ”
